GameTan ("gametan.ai") provides free, browser-based cognitive tests. You can use every test without an account. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.

1. Information We Collect

• Test results: your scores and personal bests are stored locally in your own browser (localStorage) and are not sent to our servers unless you choose to save a full profile.
• Usage data: pages visited, device type, and browser language, collected via anonymous first-party analytics.
• Account data (optional): if you create an account, we store your email address, username, and a hashed password.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Provide and improve the cognitive tests and their percentile scoring.
• Understand aggregate, anonymous usage so we can prioritize which tests to improve.
• Send transactional emails (password reset) if you have an account.

3. Advertising & Cookies

We use a session cookie (JWT) only if you sign in, to keep you authenticated.

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Google AdSense — advertising and ad measurement.
• Vercel — hosting infrastructure.
• Neon — database hosting (only if you create an account).

5. Data Retention

Test results in localStorage stay on your device until you clear your browser data. Account data, if any, is retained while your account is active; you can request deletion by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@gametan.ai.

7. Children

GameTan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
